SB 644 -- SPECIAL MOTORCYCLE LICENSE PLATE

SPONSOR:  Mathewson (Davis)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Motor Vehicle and Traffic Regulations by a vote of 8 to 0.

This bill allows veterans to obtain veterans' license plates for
their motorcycles.  In addition to the regular registration fees,
the person must pay an additional fee of $15.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that special plates for motorcycles
were overlooked when special plates were established.

Testifying for the bill was Senator Mathewson.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
